can anyone help me i got an xbox 360 but is banned i only want to update the dashboard but i cant i have tried to do it by usb and cd but i got the same result anyone know another way? i downloaded various updates but nothing.
You can play a game with a newer system update, e.g. Black Ops 2 or another newer game. You probably need to format your USB drive as FAT32 if its not updating, or ensure you are using the latest system update.
i did try with a new game(skyrim,battlefield 3)and i got the same result the same error code,and i tried to update with an usb in format fat32 i downloaded some updates from here but still noting
i had the dashboard 2.0.12416.0 then it let me update to the dashboard 2.0.12625 but now it wont let me update to a recent version.
Well... You tried with a CD, flash drive, recent update... I honestly don't know what's wrong. Maybe a bad update process? Bad USB format? Not sure.... Try shutting down the console completely and unplugging the cables. Then put everything back and try again.
As your dashboard is so old, it will be trying to flash your DVD drive to play XGD3 games. As you have modified the firmware to play backup games its failing. You need to flash your DVD drive back to the stock firmware, so it will not play burned games, then update as normal.
i realy don't know if it can play burned games a friend give it to me like that but i will try and see if it can play burned games i will see if i can find how to flashback to stock
Try this(It will clear the bad update cache): 1.turn the console off 2.wait 10 seconds untill the power brick shows orange 3.press and hold the controller sync button and then press the power button without letting go of the sync button for another 5 seconds 4.then update it Hope it works enjoy :-)
