Despertar del Cementerio (DC) is Dark_AleX's way of making a Pandora memory stick: a stick that starts a PSP fitted with a Pandora battery, which is how you bring back a PSP whose own firmware has died. Version 8 installs the 5.00 M33-4 custom firmware or the official 5.00 firmware, and it carries NAND tools for when nothing else works.

Download Despertar del Cementerio 8
Copy the dc8 folder to PSP/GAME on the memory stick. Put Sony's official 5.00 firmware update in the root of the stick and name it 500.PBP (Digiex has it as PSP Official Firmware 5.00). If you have a custom PTF theme set, quit it, then run DC8 from the Game menu on a 3.x or later kernel (it may not work before 3.03 OE). Pick Install 5.00 M33 (or OFW) and wait for it to finish. If it stops at 99%, back up the memory stick, run mspformat on it (that erases it) and try again. If Time Machine is on the stick, DC8 asks at the end which buttons should boot DC.
You now have a Pandora stick and just need a proper battery. With 1.50 kernel access use the c+d tool, otherwise the corly149 tool.
Careful: the NAND restore in the menu is a physical restore that tries to make an exact clone of the dump. Use it only as a last resort. With a dump that isn't your own PSP's you will get either a brick or a corrupt idstorage.
Helpful companions: Rain's UltraLite MMS Maker, Ultra Pandora Installer and Time Machine.
