I think DLC in general is a waste of money, then we have season passes... for a season pass you can end up paying as much for some new maps as you did for the whole game :\ how can £30+ for some maps be justified?
Call of Duty is a great example, the season pass actually costs more than I paid for the game on launch day.
I was a PC gamer before a console gamer so I have been used to getting high quality maps for free, with Unreal Tournament 2004 map making competitions were held, the the best maps would be put in to a community map pack which was released as a free download.
Sadly more and more games are just milking customers for money, Forza Horizon is a great example too. The cost of the car packs which are released each month is stupid. Compared to an old Microsoft game called Midtown Madness 2 where fan website were hosting 100's of cars, mods and other content that expanded the game, all for free.
I did used to like that eventually maps for games like Gears and Halo were made available for free on Xbox Live, sadly those days are over and the maps have doubled in price.
