EA confirms NFS SHIFT 2 in the works

EA has confirmed in their Financial Results for Q1 that NFS Shift 2 is in development for consoles and the PC. It is planned to be released in the 4th quarter of 2011.

No more info given at the moment. Expect more news including an official announcement in the coming months.

The game right above NFSS2, that takes priority over NFSS2 by about 1 million times as it will be on 360.

EA appear to be doing an arcade game for NFS one year, then a realistic one the year after.

So for me its usually a great game followed by a game ill play the demo of for around 5 mins then never touch it again.

Need for Speed: ProStreet - Rubbish - not a real NFS game.
Need for Speed: Undercover - Best game yet, this is what NFS is about.
Need for Speed: Shift - Worst game in the series, NFS is not Forza.
Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit - Looks amazing, could easily be the best game yet.
Need for Speed: Shift 2 - I already know i'm not buying this, from reading the title it will be too realistic for me.

Also NFS Underground and Underground 2 had me sucked in for months..
