I cant play my game after update Xbox 360 dashboard

Please help me,
I just update my xbox 360 dashboard from USB, but after it finished the update I cant play any game, every time I insert the game there will be announcement say that I should play the CD in Xbox 360 console. Can somebody help me? I don't know what's wrong.

What dashboard version did you update from / to? I suspect the update has re flashed your DVD drive so burned games don't work. Do original games work fine?

Try an original game to confirm, however if that works you will need to take the console to whoever modded it for you and get them to re flash the latest LT 3.0 firmware to the DVD drive.

Nope you can only update, not downgrade. Have you any idea what version of the drive firmware your console had?

I don't really know...I copy the update with USB, I take it from some site. Is it difficult to update the DVD?

You will have to open the Xbox 360 up, workout what DVD drive you have, take it out and connect it up to a PC. Many of the newer DVD drives require buying hardware to modify the firmware too.
