Left 4 Dead 2 Demo

Want to be able to play the Left 4 Dead 2 demo as soon as it goes live? If you've already purchased your copy of Left 4 Dead 2 through Steam, you can download it starting now.

The demo will be playable by Xbox 360 and PC pre-order customers on October 27th. If you've ordered it through a brick-and-mortar retailer instead of Steam, you can hit them up for a download code this weekend. Might as well - it's not like you have any interesting plans for the weekend.

The general public will be able to download and play the demo starting on November 3rd. The full game hits stores on November 17th.

We will try get a download of the demo up, as its from steam someone will most likely need to patch it so it plays without Steam.

I feel that Left 4 Dead 2 will not get the attention it deserves because it is coming out only a week after Modern Warfare 2. I think people will be playing that game nonstop until the New Year arrives.

Its locked an encrypted at the moment, no one will be able to do anything until valve makes steam unlock it.

The game has also had quite a bit of bad press with might put people off buying it too, but then again so has Modern Warfare 2 and people are going crazy for it!

It didn't come out when promised. Booooo Valve! Nimrod reckons Gabe went to get some KFC whilst I believe he sat on the PC L4D2 server and crashed it all. Hopefully we'll get to play in 5 mins!

finally came out today and the bad thing about it is its just the 360 demo thats all. i waited 2 days for it and all it is is the 360 demo which i played yesterday out of pure impatience.
