My laptop cord is shot

My laptop cord has a cut in the side and smoke came out. I could probably just put tape around it, I haven't tried it yet. My cord felt hot and I didn't know why. Then I felt it when it was moving and burned my finger, so now I have a little black burn on my finger. I'm not sure when I'll be able to pick up another cord so if using tape doesn't work i'll probably be offline for a week or more or whenever I can pick up a cable (I could talk and help guide people from my PSP or Wii but I won't be able to upload anything for the time being). As if it wasn't enough for my USB cable to just go out, my Ipod cable is almost shot and now my laptop cable is shot. I hate cords, they can never last.

ouch! i feel soz for you... hpe you get better. maybe you should hav a day off sleepin coz that sounds like bad luck. did you step on a crack or somthin?

That sounds a bit unlucky, I hope you manage to get it fixed soon.

I probably wouldn’t want to tape the laptop cord and use it, if you did I would keep an eye on it to ensure it doesn’t catch fire or anything... probably not the best idea in the world to keep using it.

Cables do suck! Hope you can get it sorted out soon.

I used tape and it seems to work alright, though i'm not using it for long as I can hear some type of spark sounds from the cord. I just softmodded my PS2 and i've been up for 34+ hours. Its obviously an excellent day now...NOT. If you are wondering why i'm acting so weird you might want to look at my last sentence. (BTW that soon to be released exploit for Xbox 360's without the HDMI port seems the be leaked on The Pirate Bay, so if there is anyone who wants to try it out, though I can't guarantee that it is authentic and won't take the blame for you blowing up your 360. apparently it has some emulators with the download and maybe some other things.)
