Need urgent help regarding xbox 360 ...

Hi,

I need help.

I have bought an xbox from overseas, I have also purchases several games. The xbox is definitely "modded" because the games are all backups of my games.

I was wondering if I can update to the 13599 update, safely...

I have never gone online with my xbox.
I do not have internet access on my xbox.
I will be updating via USB.

I do not know what version my xbox is currently at.
I do not the name, kind or brand of the chip.

If i update my xbox, will i be able to resume playing my backedup games? and burnt games?

PS: my xbox has the old layout, when i try to make an avatar, it says i need to update. I bought AC:brotherhood, and it says i need to update to play.

My xbox is arcade.

PPS: when people say their xbox got banned. Does that mean their chip stops working? or that they cant access xbox live?

If you update you will only be able to play originals unless you re flash the consoles DVD drive with hacked firmware, this is called LT+ 2.0 (you dont have a chip, the firmware on your DVD drive is modified so it can play backed up games)

When you get banned you can no longer go on Xbox Live.

Okay, so even if i update via USB, somehow this update will restrict me playing illegitimate games....
And to fix it, i need to download LT+2.0...
and then i am safe to update?

plus, what is LT+2.0. Is it like a program that allows the Xbox to ignore pre CD checks (or something similar?)

If i have to definitely download another program, the stuff it. I might just return brotherhood or something.....

first you have to take apart your xbox 360 to see the dvd drive then you have to obtain your dvd drive key(you need a probe for lite-on dvd drives) the jungle flasher tutorial goes into great detail about this

lt+ 2.0 is a modified firmware so you can play copied games
jungle flasher is the program that does the obtaining dvd drive key,erasing/writing hacked firmware to the xbox 360 dvd drive
make sure your xbox 360 dvd drive is plugged in right!!
