Hello guys, I'm new here. I have a problem in my Xbox One. More specifically, it has got to do with the home Xbox setting. So, this problem has happened to me before, but apparently it had got fixed by my friend getting Xbox Live Gold. But I don't think that's what fixed it. This is the problem: I want my other friend to share his games with me, but whenever I log on to his account, go to Settings > Personalisation > My home Xbox, the setting doesn't load at all. It's just stuck at an infinite loading circle, and after a while, stops. Then there is a message that says "Home Xbox settings cannot be changed until you connect to the service", or something like that. How do I solve this? I've already tried a Hard reset, tried logging out then logging back in, but to no avail. I don't know if my friend has Xbox Live Gold or not, does he need it to solve the problem?
Remember you can only change which console is your home Xbox up to three times during a one-year period, your friend might have changed home console three or more times already.
Nope, I don't think that's the thing. One of my friends, he did have his home Xbox changed three times, but that error showed even after we fixed the infinite loading screen, which we don't know how we fixed it. My friend got Xbox Live Gold and that seemed to fix the problem. But that can't be it, right? Should I contact Xbox Support?
When it says "Home Xbox settings cannot be changed until you connect to the service" is your friends account signed in to Xbox Live and the only account signed in? Also i presume Xbox Live works perfectly for you on your account?
Well, yeah. When I login into my friend's account on my Xbox, it IS connected to Xbox Live. And I sign out of my account to make sure he is the only one signed in. Yes, Xbox Live works perfectly for me on my account, but if you mean Xbox Live Gold, then no. I don't have it.
