Hello Digiex fellows:


I thought that by creating this thread much more space will be dedicated for discussing and sharing stuff on Nintendo latest handheld, the 3ds. The holidays lineup offers some promising Nintendo titles such as Mario Kartz and new Super Mario Land 3d. Which could push up the bar for 3ds owners world wide. As for my games at the moment. I own Zelda ocarina of time 3d and planning to get Mario Kartz 7 near Christmas and Resident Evil Revelations, the coming RE exclusive for Nintendo, @ launch date. Please feel free to share your friend code, as well as your thought, for the 3ds. I will start by posting mine. Thanks in advance and looking forward to play Mario Kartz online !

Why do you spell it " Mario Kartz " ?

I have a 3ds don't really use it but I will be getting these 2 games for christmas :)

Concerning the spelling, I guess it is similar to the spelling wisdom behind Mortal Kombat, the presupposed C was replaced for K, the stated reason was to add more brutal feeling to the name. At our case, which is Mario Kartz, I guess it adds the feeling of a speed. I guess this is why perhaps many people, including me, uses this type of spelling.

Do you think the 3DS is worth it, no one i know has really shown much interest in it.

Mario Kart 7 looks good, i dont think it's worth buying a console for one game though. The whole 3D is doesn't really appeal to me that much so its more of an overclocked DS to me.

I guess it is. It has a lot of value for less price now. In fact, I guess it is a real bargain @ 170 USA dollar or the equivalent 110 UK pound, not sure about UK retail price though. However, 3d screen free glasses, 3d camera both pictures and very soon there will be video recording update. In addition, mp3 player, sound recording and editing, free 2 GB memory card, motion sensor, street pass features, single friend code for all games, internet browser supports 3d visuals and many more.
New games are also heading on the way. I initially got it for the exclusive Resident Evil that is coming near February 2012. Discovering the Zelda ocarina of time was so thrilling in 3d, it also revealed how great they can take the graphics in that handheld.

That or no one has one. I wouldn't mind getting one but can't afford one and would rarely play it even if I had one.
 
If i had a 3DS i would share my code, no plans to get one anytime soon.

As Antony.R has mentioned i do think Mario Kart on the 3DS works very well in 3D, however apart from that i dont really see myself playing it enough to justify getting one at the moment.

At the moment i only have Pokemon Y, however i do plan to get Mario Kart 7 at a later date. I think Pokemon will keep me busy for quite a while yet.
