Dumb little me: I now have a second-hand XBOX 360, I opened it up and what do I find of the previous owner? FIFA 11! An illegal copy!

What should I do with it? I tested it (OFFLINE!) and it works, but I guess ONLINE would be another story... I hope I will not get banned or something?

Again, the disc that I found in it was NOT MINE!

if u want a flashed xbox then keep it u could dl games and burn them to a dual layer dvd not that i agree with piracy


but about banning yes your console would be banned i dont know if thats case with new dashboard since that reflashes

I checked my xbox360 and thank goodness it is NOT on the banwave... or is it the silence before the storm?

I checked it with:

A good (unbanned and good connected) xbox shows:
X: 0000-F021
Y: 00A8-4840
Z: 0000-0000

Xbox, banned, manual IP settings:

X: 0000 - 000D
Y: 00A8 - 6800
Z: 8015 - 190D

Xbox, banned, with auto IP settings:

X: 0000 - F009
Y: 00A8 - 6820

You could install the latest Dashboard from here: https://digiex.net/downloads/downlo...0-13146-0-download-final-version-avatars.html that should flash your DVD drive back to stock firmware anyway, meaning it will not play pirated games.

Then if the console is not banned you should be good to go.

You have to be very careful buying second hand Xbox 360's sadly.

First thing that I got from MS is an update when I got online for the first time on live. Music section of my HDD was filled with utter rapmusic so I deleted it all. (I DESPISE RAP MUSIC! )

And that was the end of the ILLEGAL FIFA 11... my xbox won't play it anymore... (burned games that is)
