I don't have an EZ Flash IV, so this may need to be answered by someone who does. However my suggestion would be to turn off whatever is making it create a savefile, if such an option exists...
The BGF Shiny Zigzagoon rom doesn't create savefiles, so I'd imagine the issue here has something to do with that. However the Aurora Ticket and 10ANNIV don't either, so if those worked for you, I find this case odd.

I tested out my copy of Ruby with the Aura mew distribution and it worked just fine, it is definitely a problem with the ezFlash IV, but I do not know how to fix it.

Well yeah, Aura Mew is supposed to create a savefile. 10ANNIV and Aurora Ticket don't. Either way, you're correct that it's a problem with the EZ Flash IV, it works fine on my EverDrive.
Does the EZ Flash have an options menu before you select the roms? Or options to set per each individual rom?

@Invader TAK Didn't you have an EZ Flash IV? If you do, maybe you can answer this.

Yeah I had an EZ Flash IV (actually Reform, but it's still a IV). I think the Aura Mew ROM worked on it on the latest firmware, can't remember. Damn thing died on me in a month. It also worked fine on my GBA sized 3-in-1 despite the battery being dead. Only GBA flash carts I have at the moment are the aforementioned GBA sized 3-in-1, a DS Lite sized 3-in-1 and an Everdrive. Might get an EZ Flash Omega next week, depends on how much I have after other buys (like a Carby for my GameCube).

Ok, well I have got the Berry Glitch distribution to work and create the save file correctly? I do not really understand how I did it, but I did not realized the 10ANNIV was an event so I wanted to try out that one as well and it worked. At the beginning when I was loading 10ANNIV in my ezFlash IV it had the same screen with "creating save file", but no error and loaded about 5 seconds after. After that happened and succeeded to create a save file I thought maybe the Berry Glitch distribution would work and it did. Pic Related to working Berry Glitch, I do not know if there is a correlation between the two events and having something that creates a save file first. I understand that one event is not going to be dependent on the other event to work, but it seems to me that once the 10ANNIV was loaded it fixed the problem I had with the Berry Glitch Distribution.

Well it's good to hear you got it working. I can't really imagine how the 10ANNIV rom ultimately allowed the BGFZ rom to work. I'd guess the EZ Flash was just confused with the BGF rom because it's not supposed to have a savefile, but booting the 10ANNIV first somehow corrected that "confusion". I don't really know.

    This distribution has been re-uploaded.

The filler garbage data that pads out the distribution to a perfect 4MB had been previously randomized in attempt to hide an alleged "fingerprint" that Nintendo could have possibly used to trace the source of this distribution. This "fingerprinting" has never been proven fact, so we decided it was in the best interests of proper preservation that the garbage data is reverted back to proper FFs as they originally were. This does not affect the Pokemon distributed what so ever, and will make no difference to anyone distributing Pokemon regardless. It's purely about having a totally clean copy of this distribution preserved.

This re upload reset the download count, however at the time of this post the download count was 1,581.

For some reason I have real time clock enabled and the game is still telling me the battery is dry(This is on emulator), I can't seem to figure out why. Also How do I load the gameboy startup? When I load it goes straight to the game. The Emulator I am using is vbalink.

Edit:I managed to fix the battery issue but still can't figure out the other parts. Also once I've got this working 10aniv pokemon should be the same steps right?

    Good afternoon....
I'm new here, if you have the wrong topic or the wrong area I would like to be warned, thank you.
I'm responding in this topic because I was looking for how to have this Zigzagoon, after so many years to be able to get berry glich, I have the games and the Cabe Cabe's normal method with Lifegreen and Ruby doesn't work here in Europe.
That said, I found this topic with a solution, but I need a tutorial, how to help me put this program on the flashcard and what is the most suitable flascard model to be able to update my Ruby pokemon.
If anyone can help me I would appreciate it.
if it is in the wrong topic people sorry.

You simply need to buy a flash card for the GBA, most should work. My Flash2Advance is a pretty obsolete flashcard from 2002 / 2003 that works fine.

Flash Card wise for the GBA the EverDrive-GBA X5 Mini is the best of the best, you can probably find much cheaper cards out there however, its not something I follow religiously or anything. However that is a Flash Card i'd like to buy at some point. With the EverDrive anyway its simply a case of dragging the distribution rom on to an SD card, placing that in the EverDrive and you can load the distribution up and distribute. That's about all their is to it!

Another excellent GBA flashcart, that I personally use, is EZ Flash Omega, you can find it on Amazon or official site.

But are you sure that your problem is Berry Glitch? Because I know that fix with FRLG works also with european cartridges.
Have you ever change internal battery?

If you changed the battery, but clock events didn't restart the reason is not Berry Glitch. You need to set the internal RTC, you have to use this little homebrew software to set the current date and time. You can use *.gba version directly with a GBA flashcart or *.nds version with a R4 and Nintendo DS/DS lite.

[/ QUOTE]

    1. Thanks for the reply I ordered an Omega flash EZ to come in, I can still recover some events,

    2. Well I tried to make that link cable connection between FrLg to ruby and an information appears that is not possible to update, I even tried with several different link cables and the message is always the same. my cartridges are all original, but none of them received the berry glich event.

And yes I changed the internal battery, and I was unaware of the RTC method with R4.
I have an R4 and a nitendo litle, if you can get me a simple teturial I can try. however downloading the glich berry event with EZ flash, seems to me the safest and simplest method.

Thank you very much for the advice.

BERRY GLICH IS SAME TE PROBLEM THE CLOCK right?

Berry Glitch is a problem found by players and by Nintendo itself in Ruby/Sapphire: after one year from the start of the game all clock events freeze for one year.

The problem with RTC after changing the battery is a similar problem, but not the same: when you install a new battery, the RTC (real time clock) restarts from 01/01/2000. The game keeps track of played hours, so if you (for example) have played for 10 years and then the battery died you should wait others 10 years to reach the "next day" in-game.

Fortunately this software will resolve the situation. It's very easy to use:
    • Download rtcread-ds.zip
    • Extract and copy rtcread-ds.nds in the SD card of your R4
    • Insert your Pokémon Ruby in SLOT-2 and yout R4 in SLOT-1 of your DS
    • Start rtcread-ds.nds from R4 menu and set date and time of today (January 19th 2021)
    • Save

When you will receive EZ Flash Omega you will be able to use GBA distribution ROM, included this one (you will be able to receive this shiny Zigzagoon) but it won't be enought to fix the RTC, because your problem is not Berry Glitch. You still need rtc-read.

In other words, regardless of having the brilliant Zigzagoon in the game will not solve the RTC problem, now I understand the problem, I wish I understood better about this type of problem.
Thank you for explaining and simplifying how to solve the problem. I am very grateful.

The Berry glitch is a glitch only found in early versions of Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire which affects the game's internal calendar. The name of the glitch comes from the fact that the first thing a player will usually notice is that all Berries that have been planted have ceased growing. The glitch occurs 366 days after the game is first started, or 366 days after the internal battery is replaced, and causes all calendar-based events to be delayed by 366 days.

This distribution fixes the problem and gives you a shiny for the trouble.

Does this work if you play (Ruby) on an EZ Flash Omega and with the distribution ROM that's also on the EZ Flash Omega? I was wondering that since a friend is trying to do that without original cartridges.
