Dumping a PS3 game disc properly is harder than copying files, and PS3 Disc Dumper by 13xforever is the tool that does it. It copies the disc to your PC along with the decryption keys and the data needed to verify the dump. It works with a compatible Blu-ray drive and is the tool preservation projects use for accurate disc backups.
Download:
Download PS3 Disc Dumper 4.5.1
It's a single ps3-disc-dumper.exe with nothing to install: run it, put the disc in the drive and follow the prompts.
Tip: a full disc can run to about 50 GB, so check you've got the space before you start. It only reads from the disc, so your original is safe.
