PSP Filer is a file manager that runs on the PSP itself. It browses the memory stick, the UMD, the internal flash and the RAM disk; copies, moves and deletes files; views JPEG, PNG and BMP pictures; plays WAV and MP3 audio; and shows other files as text. The author, Mediumgauge, kept updating it until 2010, and version 6.6 is the last in the changelog. The program speaks 14 languages.
Download:
Download PSP Filer 6.6
The zip holds the program for every kind of firmware (GAME150 for 1.50 kernel firmwares and custom firmware, GAME for custom firmware with the 3.xx+ kernel), the install notes, the changelog and the readme in several languages, unchanged. The author's notes are in the zip: the program can damage a PSP if it is used carelessly.
How to install / use:
Not included: Use at your own risk: writing to the flash0 and flash1 devices can brick a PSP. See also PSP 6.61 Custom Firmware Install on any PSP and PSP Custom Firmware PRO-C2.

How to install / use:
- Unzip the download. On a PSP with custom firmware, copy the GAME150 folder to the psp folder of the memory stick (and make a psp/GAME folder if there is none).
- On a PSP-2000 or 3000 with a 3.xx+ kernel custom firmware, copy the GAME folder instead. Some features do not work there; GAME/FILER/warning.txt lists them.
- Start Filer from the Game menu. Press Select for the help screen, and Start to move between the memory stick, UMD, flash and RAM disk.
