If you need a Magic Memory Stick for a Pandora battery and want 5.00 M33-4 or Despertar del Cementerio v8 on it, Rain's UltraLite MMS Maker does it in one click. It's a cut-down version of Rain's full MMS Maker, built for this one firmware. It sets up the memory stick, injects the IPL and puts the firmware on it from Sony's official update file.
Download:
Rain's UltraLite MMS Maker
It runs on Windows 2000, XP and Vista. You supply the official 5.00 update yourself (EBOOT.PBP or 500.PBP): either put it in the same folder as the program or point to it when asked.
Tip: if the IPL injection fails, retry with the format option ticked. Rain recommends SanDisk Memory Stick Pro Duo cards, 256 MB or bigger (8 GB works too). Some Sony sticks and any fake card won't take the IPL.
Update: it also runs on Windows 7.

- Connect the PSP over USB, or use a card reader and choose its drive letter. Close any other windows or programs that are using the PSP.
- Run RainsUltraLiteMMS.exe. On Vista it asks for administrator rights, which the IPL injection needs.
- Formatting first is recommended, but it erases the stick. The program can back the contents up for you first.
- Click Make MMS and wait for it to finish. Put the stick in the PSP, hold the left shoulder button (L1) and insert the Pandora battery.
