Reading sector 16 failed =[

Hey guys. Just purchased a WD3200BVPT. I've flashed other WD drives on my current computer setup. BIOS detects the drive so I'm assuming thats set up right. The drive is brand new. When trying to flash with HDDHACKR I get the error Reading Sector 16 Failed. DRQ Error. I've tried several versions of HDDHACKR, and even tried editing manually via Hex Editor, but get an error when trying to create partitions. Error creating partition 0. I have tried the MHDD fix, and am currently using the disk management utility to test the harddrive and write all 0's. Is there anything else I can try?! I've been searching the forum and web for 2 days with no avail =[. Thanks guys. -PA1N

Not sure if this matters either, but the drive states it was manufactured AUG 03 2013

Your probably best to try a PC with a different sata chipset, the chipset in your current pc is likely not compatible.

I'll have to try that nutter. Could that be the problem even considering I've flashed drives with this computer before?

Got it to work nutter! Ended up using an old Acer laptop and it worked flawlessly! 293GB free!

From people's experiences it appears Hddhackr is just very fussy. It either works or it doesn't
