Resident Evil 5 Demo Download

hey np. is anyone playing this online. im just a bit paranoid that microsoft will throw down the ban hammer on those playing it out side of japan.

I don’t see why you would get banned, I have an American account to download American only stuff such as the Ages Wing Arcade game and so on. People have been using accounts from other regions since the 360’s launch with no problems.

I can't get it to work. I've tried burning the content folder to a CD, a DVD; I've tried burning just the demo file. My 360 won't even say the disc is a mixed media disc. All it says is "open tray" and it's not coming up under the games section.

What am I doing wrong?

Never mind. I got it working.

I just wonder if the people with the disk would get banned. seeing as i was too late to download it. im playing offline right now.

Ok so I have downloaded the file, and verified that I downloaded the content folder and all of what it contains within it just as you showed on the first screenshot. When I put the disc in my 360 it starts to read it, and then instead of saying mixed media disc, it says open tray (as if there isn't a readable disc in the tray). I tried burning multiple discs, and my 360 still won't read the disc. The demo isn't appearing in the demo section either. Any ideas?!?! I am fairly sure that it isn't the laser in my system or anything like that I haven't had a single issue with it since launch. Thanks for the help.

Thanks a lot for the demo...made my day. Had to register to say thank you :D

What did you use to burn the disc? I always use Nero personally, I’ve always had problems with stuff burned from within Windows so if you used that to burn it try another program such as Nero.

I used a DVD-R RW but I don’t think the 360 is that fussy with media.

I wouldn’t think so if you were pirating the full game then yes I could see why you would get banned, however it’s a Demo, if anything after playing it you’re more likely to be hyped up and want the full game. The only thing I’ve heard people getting banned for is modifying their 360’s which hopefully no one here has done.

:D stick around, there’s more to Digiex than the Download Centre.

OK, I've burnt the file to a DVD using Nero and I'm able to see it in my demos list (as Japanese text). However, when I click "Play Game", the screen goes black and after a few seconds it plays the Xbox power up noise but the screen remains black indefinitely. Any idea what's up?

The only thing I can think of for MacabreAngel and farbeyonddriven is your using media the 360 doesn’t seem to like too well.

I would burn using some proper software such as Nero, I’ve never found the built in CD burring software in Windows any good.

I used a CD, and it took quite a long time for the demo to ever begin loading after the screen went black. Is the disc being read at all while the screen is black? *-)

The longest I've left it in there with the screen black was about two minutes, with no luck. It does seem to be reading the disk during that time, but if it hasn't loaded after two minutes I would think that it's not going to. Oh well, I'll just wait for the demo to come stateside...

im looking forward to tring this when i get home... also i plan on trying to run it from a usb stick...

i will comment on if this works or not

thanks guys

Thank you!!

I burnt it to a Sony DVD+R at 4x with Nero 6 and all works great!!! The controls are kinda of "too tight" and hard to see any enemies close behind you. But hey, visuals and game overall is fun!!
Now if only Too Human demo was available. I get all demos from the OXM demo discs but never saw TH. Is there a list of demos released on Live Marketplace and not OXM? I don't have Live. :'(

i can confirm this dosnt work using the usb stick method... im burning a copy now...

my 360 is less than a month old and confirmed falcon unit, if it isnt going to work mine will be the test console!!!

what kind of disk am i supposed to be burning as eg dvd cd or data disk cos i just cant seem to get it work ive been getting the same problem as farbeyonddriven and ive allready gone through 3 disks
