I recently purcased a 500GB Xbox 360 Hard Drive online. The hard drive is an official Xbox 360 HDD however it was purchased used and the previous owner had left their data on it before selling it. Profiles, Game saves, Downloads etc were all left in tact. I made backup of the security sector and plugged in the hard drive to my pc and ran Darik's Boot And Nuke to completely wipe the drive clean of any data. Now I am wondering how do I restore the security sector back to the drive to make it work as an official Xbox 360 hard drive again.

I'm not sure anyone ever managed to recover an official drive from this mistake unfortunately as Hddhackr does not work with non Western Digital hard drives.

All I can think of is trying this: How to Flash Your HDDSS.bin in Windows.

I found out a way to do it, Using Fatxplorer (beta version is completely free) it also puts the 4 partitions back as well, If I'm not mistaken the Xbox 360 hard drive has System Extended Partition, System Auxiliary Partition, Backwards Compatibility Partition, Content Partition
