update xbox 360

hallo, i want helping from anybody
i want update my xbox360 but i cant because when i put the CD or Flash Memory
i wait to show any window but i don't see any thing
what the Solution of this problem.
please helping me .

What firmware is your 360 on and did you unRAR it after you downloaded it? If you didn't unRAR it then that would be your problem. If you have unRARed it then you need to update your 360 to a firmware before the newest one and then you can update it to the newest firmware.
