Anyone writing homebrew for the Vita will want vitacompanion running on the console. It opens an FTP server on port 1337, listens for commands on port 1338, and fakes controller and touch input through a small kernel module, so you can push a build and test it without touching the Vita. Version 1.07 is the September 2026 release. It fixes the synthetic front and rear touch presses and replaces the older kill and destroy commands with quit TITLEID and quit all.

Download vitacompanion 1.07
It needs the taiHEN framework: taiHEN 0.11. You get two files, vitacompanion.suprx and vitacompanion_kernel.skprx. Install both together, and don't mix a 1.07 plugin with a 1.06 one, because the private kernel input ABI changed.
Keep a copy of config.txt before you edit it. A bad entry under *KERNEL can stop the Vita booting.

- Run VitaShell on the Vita, press SELECT to start its FTP server and copy both files to ur0:/tai.
- In ur0:/tai/config.txt, add ur0:tai/vitacompanion_kernel.skprx under *KERNEL and ur0:tai/vitacompanion.suprx under *main, then reboot.
- Point an FTP client at the Vita's IP on port 1337 to check it's alive.
