Private torrents here because of the speed new content is available on the site and most of the time you can max a 100mbit connection out on private sites.

Newsgroups! Cheap and fast. Though the only down side is its almost impossible to get old files. Though Giganews has increased there retention to 365 days.

Torrents are great. Though on most you will get very slow download speed. If any at all, mainly public torrents.

Private torrents can be great. Though on those sites to get those also require you to upload alot or be banned. That was near to impossible for me. Then i was on a server. If you were trying that on you home connection. Would be so bad...

Rapidshare - well this can also be great, just as long as you pay for it.

Limewire - Never. Maybe to get a few songs but thats it...

Private torrents mainly for me. The "Other" vote was for how I FTP from our server to my computers at home. On occasion I use Newsgroups but not as often as I used too. I have used Rapidshare sometimes for mp3s but nowadays I either buy them from Play.com, Amazon or Itunes.

Pubic torrents usually give me a 1.1MB/s if a lot of people want the same thing. Mega Upload: I usually get 600KB/s to 1MB/s (No I don't have a subscription there). Also Mediafire, which seems to be the quickest, I usually get 2MB/s per download.

Thats impressive for public torrents. Don't your ISP cut you off though for using those? I've got 2/3 strikes left on torrents before I loose my net. That why I use newsgroups. Which always uses the max speed of my net. Plus it has SSL. Dunno if it helps or not.

No, I have not been cut off or even had a warning of being cut off. I use uTorrent 1.8.2 and my internet is Mediacom cable internet.
