A demo of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword from around the time of E3 2011, this does not represent the quality of the final game.

This is reported working on both a real Wii and the Dolphin emulator, I have not used our Wii in about a year though so would not be the best person to ask on how to get it working on your particular setup.

Yeah, I was about to try it out, but the release is so close now.

Anyone know whether or not there will be a firmware update on the disc? That's what's worrying me and will determine whether I buy the game or not.

You Wii has to be modded in some way, basically burn it to disc and play (if your Wii is modded)

Its possible to softmod your Wii which is quite easy, i modded my parents Wii last year. Here is a link to a topic we had back then discussing it, i posted a link to some of the stuff i used in there: https://digiex.net/general-discussi...parents-got-their-first-ever-console-wii.html

Also i really like your sig / avatar Blaker.

Thanks! :D
I just softmodded my Wii, and I don't know how to get the iso on it. :S

Bleh, i was using jdownloader and ended up deleting half of it once it completed. 20 minutes to go now.
From what I've seen it's like most other games, running through a loader you dont see the update message. Plus, if you're able to play the new Kirby game or the demo, you'll have no problems with this either.

I just played the demo, and it was awesome! The boss battle is the best part of it. The controls were ok, and the graphics were really cool. This is probably going to be the best Wii game on the market! :D

Thanks InsaneNutter for this demo!

But the zip file seems corrupted. I downloaded it severals times and try three unzippers (the default one of Windows, the default one of Linux and 7zip for Windows). Can you uploaded it again?

Use something that will resume downloads, the downloaded size should be 998 MB (1,046,703,514 bytes)

I have just downloaded / extracted this fine, your download is likely failing before it's finished.

Thanks for your answer. I downloaded it several times, some of them using a download manager (that can resume downloads) and I still have the same problem. The zip file size is correct (1 046 703 514 bytes on Linux and on Windows) but when I try to extract the archive I've got an error and the size of the file extracted from the archive is 405 012 480 bytes only. The md5sum of the zip file I download is always d02fe41f72930b44f778935ce1c34463. Is it correct ?

Whats the SHA1 of the file? the MD5 is indeed correct though.

MD5: d02fe41f72930b44f778935ce1c34463
SHA1: 374781ead4057e1e01e6f1aa61f5c4b30081ea5f

I'm using WinRAR 5.0 to extract the file on Windows.

The SHA1 is the same as yours. I just tried WinRAR, and it's working! I don't understand why this was not working with 7zip (Windows) or with the default archive manager (Windows and Linux). Thanks a lot for your help and answers, I will never have though to try WinRAR.

Strange indeed, I created the zip with WinRAR (a much older version) so maybe it didn't do something quite right.

Either way i'm glad you managed to get it extracted, enjoy :)
