Wii U - Simple Signature Patcher [Sysnand CFW Signature Patcher]

Wii U Simple Signature Patcher is a simple Wii U IOSU signature, hash, region and other checks patcher for your System Nand (Sysnand). It gives you the same ability as a custom firmware with signature patches except it does not require a custom fw.img on your SD card, or anything else. This makes it perfectly shareable in contrary to a full fw.img.

With this for example you could install out of region games and launch them from the Wii U Home Screen or install custom channels like the Homebrew Launcher channel and launch those channels. Without Signature Patches these would normally fail because of checks performed by the Wii U to ensure the content is legit. Additional to that this does not require to make a full OS relaunch with a fw.img and therefore it loads much faster then the full custom fw.img. The version that just goes back to HBL is actually very fast.

The following signature checks are all patched out by this (which is equivalent to a custom fw.img):

• Cert verification
• Cached cert check
• MCP authentication check
• Public key verification check
• BootLogoTex and bootMovie.h264 check
• Region title launch check

Note - Be careful if installing content to your Sysnand, with power comes responsibility.

On your SD card browse to the wiiu > apps folder, create a new folder called sigpatch and copy the sign_patcher.elf from the above zip file to that folder.

You can then load it from the Homebrew Launcher.

Personally i don't recommend ColdBoot HaxChi, too many people seem to mess it up at some point and brick their Wii U.

With HaxChi it's not hard in my option to click an icon on the Home Screen and either launch CFW or use home brew from that, that's what i'd do anyway.

So I will have to run this patch Everytime I turn on the Wii u ? Witch file don't put in the apps \sipatch there are too . Return to home and return to home brew. Witch one do I use ? 5.5.3 ofw

Yes you have to run it every time and its up to you which you use.

I'd imagine you want return to home as your probably using sig patches to load out of region content for example. It's a choice of which is more convenient for you.

Not exactly, you can look in to coldboot Haxchi. However I personally don't really think thats ideal as your Wii U essentially boots as normal, then launches CFW, so the boot time is a lot longer. Theirs also greater risk of bricking the console.
