Create folder called $systemupdate
Rename suF58FDAA6CD316A7F566CBCA4E8609BCE7A0068CE.bin (the random numbers in-between will vary from update to update) to su20076000_00000000
Place it in the $SystemUpdate folder and the Xbox 360 will ask your console to update when the USB drive is inserted (providing your 360 is on an older dashboard version)

I just tried this and its not working. I have the folder and inside i have the file renamed and its not updating the xbox.

NM found out one of the pins broke on the USB.

P.S this has no avatars. Just tried it comes up saying need to download avatar update.
 
Even if they don't have avatars would you still be able to upload the newest of updates for the betas please

TBH this is pointless. You're not really testing anything if you're out the beta. The only thing its doing atm is breaking dlc and games.
 
Thanks anyway, I'm not gonna bother you for it i was just wondering cause i was interested in it. and wasnt home for it.cause it happened when i was out for the holidays, and didnt get a chance to get on it.But thanks anyways.
 
The reason why i asked is cause my kinect is asking for an update cause its not working with out it and am wondering if someone has the newest beta firmware update that may make it work again.
 
My kinect stopped wotking and is asking for an update because of the beta i was wondering if someone could put up the latest dashboard up so i may see if i can get my kinect to work with it
 
You will need the avatar data to make your kinect work again, never had any luck extracting that so your probably going to be out of luck until you can install the final version.
