Recently I purchased a Biogenix brand battery pack (Gamestop brand) however the light on my charging cable only stays red for about 5 minutes then turns green, I know it is not fully charged after just 5 minutes or so, i have tried the charging cable in other USB ports as well (laptop, phone adapter), I bought the battery and was told it works, is it possible the battery is dead or is my charging cable gone bad?

That sounds like the battery is dead to me based on my experience with Xbox 360 battery packs. If the cable was it wouldn't charge it for 5 minutes.

    Hello
Something similar happened to me on 2 different batteries. (NYKO AND AN ALTERNATIVE)
I opted for these solutions which helped me get out of my doubt and solve my problem.

    * Clean the charging pins at both ends (battery pins and remote control pins) use Isopropyl Alcohol and once use a contact cleaner product for electronic components.
    * with some metametallic element GENTLY AND SUPERFICIALLY scrape the charging pins.
    * Check and seat the battery properly in the controller before connecting the charging cable.

    CONCLUSION:
It helped me solve a problem with a battery and confirm that the second battery was dead.

    I hope it helps you
