xbox 360 title updates

hey i have a modded xbox 360 E .
I know nothing about modding and stuff i got it modded in a game shop.

It has the original xbox dashboard and i play games which are in a hdd which is connected to the usb port of xbox.

i go into games and select xex menu and it goes into the xex menu interface from where i choose the game to play.

At first i used to go to the shop to get games but then i started to download games as iso files (or rar files which when i extracted normally without xbox 360 isoexrtact gave just game files for eg: ac brotherhood) and i use xbox 360 isoextract to extract the games and i will put it in the hard drive and play them.

But some games like batman the telltale series when extracted using xbox 360 isoextract just give like 120mb while the iso itself is like 8gb and some games like minecraft also do the same.

1)so what should i do for games like batman the telltale series,minecraft story mode season 1 and 2
2) i know there something like title update for minecraft, and when i exrtracted my minecraft iso it seperatly had a folder called $TitleUpdate so how should i do it, i searched the internet but i couldnt find anything people just said to go to another folder
3) i dont have a custom dashboard, i only have xex menu and i dont know if it even has rgh or jtag
4)i earlier tried to update my xbox by trying to connect it to xbox live but it gave a error code and when i searched for the error code in internet i found out it was for like a modded xbox. so can i still connect to the internet without xbox live.

if you're extracting ISO's and playing them then you have a JTAG/RGH console... only other option is a flashed DVD drive but you can't run extracted ISO's on that (i don't believe) So you can install Aurora dash, there's plenty of instructions out there on how to do title updates from there.. but you do need the files for the update, unless they are on xbox unity

those telltale games dont really work from isos... problem is the isos usually only have the first chapter on them so you have to download the dlc to get the balance and install them in the 000000\GameID\ folder correctly to access. If you have it better to use the XBLA version of the game to isntall to hdd and then put the DLC on top of that... I found the iSO's extracted different game ID's with different software.. one did it right but i can't remember which was which sorry.

For ISO's the latter 'complete story' releases may have all the chapters on them, maybe try via disc (assuming you have original and a xbox that cna read it)... or perhaps try with xenia if it works.
