Need help question about xbox 360 title updates

Hi free XBL gold week is coming and I have an HDD and a flash drive if I got the title updates stored in the flash drive and I play on live with my profile signed in the HDD does it still uses the title updates ?????

yes it still uses the title updates from the flash drive Flash Drive=Removable Hard Drive so really the they are the same I have 1 20gig hard drive hooked to my 360 and 2 USB hard drives and they all work the same all my title updates and profiles are on the USB drives I just started to use the 20gig HDD last week lol
