Hi there

Can you help me with my Xbox360 , its not support copy CD any more because I already upgrade it to new Dashboard : 2.0.17502.0 ?
 
You need to re flash the LT3 firmware. Updates after a certain point removed old legacy firmware and enabled support for games to use more space on the disc, this also removed firmware that allowed burned games to work.
 
You need to take the 360 apart and connect the DVD drive to a computer to flash the firmware on it, the process is different for different models of DVD drive in the 360. I'm guessing you didnt modify the console so it might be better to ask the person who did, as you likely will need to be additional hardware to flash the 360 again.
 
Pease help me to update my xbox 360. I tried to use a usb stick with the necessary update, but the console didn't recognize my usb stick. Nothing happened when I inserted the usb. I saw online that the same thing happened to other people, but they didn't say how to fix this probem, if some knows PLEASE HELP ME !!!!!!!
 
First of all, thank you for answering! My xbox 360 kinect 250 GB Go, is not hacked, never been opened, it has the seal, played only original games, never went online with it (LIVE or conected to the internet), played it on weekends for no more then eight hours...brand new despite his 4 years. My problem with the xbox is that it freeziz on loading some games, not all of them. I never did an update on my xbox, didn't knew it needed such a thing. I understood that I need to do this update, so I downloaded on to a memory stick the update using the tutorial on youtube, with the dashboard,but nothing happened. I inserted the stick in the usb and nothing happened, unlike the tutorial where automaticlly it updates. Freezing, that's my problem, bought it brand new, worked lovely till now. Please help me to understand what to do!
 
Can you sign in to Xbox Live? (you just need a free account) the console will automatically update if you do. That would be the easiest way to go about updating it.
 
VioletFool79 is my profile and my mail is badcop6666@yahoo.com at network settings says that I am conected to network, internet and xbox live. now what, nothing has changed, I tryed to play gta v and on loading it freezed...again. didn't worked mate, what should I do next?
 
My dashboard is : 2.0.17502.0 and I tried to update it with the same update 2.0.17502.0 wich was from spring 2016. inserted the stick 5 minago and like I said yesterday....nothing. Went online, live...like you suggested and still nothing. Please help a mate !
 
You already have the latest system update, you can't re install the same update.

If the console is freezing its possible the disc drive is failing, you could try installing the game to the console and see if it installs ok. If the game installs then crashes when loading the console could well be over heating.
 
I doubt is from over heating, because the console is placed very good, has open space to ventilate, dust free almoust, and it didn't sow a message with over heating, it never did. I will try to erase gta v from the hard drive, and install it again and see what happends. So from your point of veiw the update is not the problem with my freezing, the disc drive can be? what do you recomand next?
 
Now I see that you are from Yorkshire, I have a mate from Altofts, who livesfor the last 10-12 years here in Romania. Craig A. Huskings he is 39.
 
Do other games work ok? it seems strange the console is freezing. I'd try some other games and see if the same happens.
 
Yes, games like Call of Duty mordern warfare, I am playing it right now is working just fine. But games like gta v, saw, kinect sports, are freazzing on loading. Don't know what could be the problem?
 
I'm not sure to be honest if all the games are in good condition, do you see the avatars on the Xbox 360 dashboard? or are they like a black silhouette?
 
Instant karma mate, just now call of duty freezed on me. But the game froze in the same place in the mission. But the game is bought second hand...so it could be from the disc.

Now I was reading from this site, but I did what is here. Do you think it could be RRDOT soon ? hope not! I even customised on of the avatars, and when I sign up the avatar pops out and waves his hand at me. no avatar problems...but
 
Try installing the actual game disc to the hard drive, if the game installs 100% that will rule out any problems with the disc or the disc drive in theory.

I think you would get a disc read error message on screen if the lazer in the DVD drive was failing anyway.

Sadly the console could well be failing, some Xbox 360's are just not reliable sadly, im guessing you have a newer slim console from what you have said, they are supposed to be quite reliable, however it's not impossible for them to fail or have problems.

Microsoft will repair the console, however if it's out of warranty they do charge for it. You can register your console / request a repair
