For anyone wanting to buy some last minute content before the Xbox 360 Marketplace closes In July 2024 this guide still works on Windows 11.

I used Proton VPN's free VPN in Japan and connected to it via the Windows OpenVPN client, I then just shared the VPN's network connection to the network connection my 360 was connected to the PC with. Same as the guide I originally posted, just a slightly different interface on Windows 11.

Their seemed to be IP checks when downloading at 79-80% so I started the download connected to the VPN, then at 1% connected directly to my internet here in the UK, at 78% connected the 360 back though the VPN and let the download finish like that. I was only getting 2mbps download speeds though the VPN, but for free it's more than good enough.
