Hopefully this is the right place to post this. I was using an external hdd on my xbox to store some arcade games and save files for awhile. One day I started using my xbox and realized that my external was marked as needing a format to be used as if the data was gone. I've checked it on a pc and everything is there. I've had this problem before and have successfully recovered it on to another HDD. I believe I used Party Buffalo to recover that data once before. I've tried backing the files up into a recovery file, but it gets to about 98% and comes up with an error. I've also tried using Xplorer360, but it says that it can't locate a FATX drive (The drive I'm trying to recover is formatted as a FAT32). Anyway I was wondering if there's any other programs I should try or if I'm doing something wrong. Thanks.
Copy the files to the pc instead of a recovery file. Then reformat the drive with the console. Then re-copy the files back to the drive. You can use usbxtaf for external usb drives and usb flashdrives, xplorer360 only works for xbox 360 hdds (not usb flashdrives / usb hard drives). You can download it here https://digiex.net/downloads/downlo...ge-explorer-xplorer-usbxtaf-v44-download.html
