xbox live connection? help if you want

well im new here but im posting everywhere i can my xbox has been messed up for about a week its not connecting to the internet its connectiong to my router than its saying the router wont connect to the internet then when i press more info it say MTU error unplug your router or modem for 30 seconds i have already done that and its still not working im only 9 and i dont know what to do please help

most of the time i had that error i just power off my xbox and router remove power cord from back of modem and router wait 5 mins recoonect the modem and router and power xbox on


if that fails you gotta go into your router but id leave that to somone more advanced

What router do you have?

You need to check the settings on it and set the MTU to 1500.

I cant really show you how to do this as your router will likely not be the same as mine.
