I have an Xbox one x but when i plug in and turn on im getting a blank screen.. Ive changed the HDMI cable and Tried both on a different TV but both are the same... Ive looked at the HDMI they are mint cos I plugged it in once and its been there ever since. It doesnt get knocked about its in a cupboard and the leads come out from the side so i know it cant be that..

ive been doing a bit of research and narrowed it down to what I believe to be the HDMI Retimer chip what ever the hell that is...

Whats your thought before i send it off and some greedy sod says (OH OH OH NO! its gonna cost ya its a big problem you have)
 
Turn off the Xbox completely, then press and hold both the Eject button and the Sync button at the same time. While holding these buttons power the Xbox on and listen for some beeps.

Once you do keep holding Eject and Sync for 10-15 seconds and you should hear a second power up beep / sound.

You should hopefully be in recovery mode then, this should also change the resolution in the event its been set to something your TV can’t display for whatever reason.

Try that and see what happens. As to sending it off, really depends how much someone is going to charge you. Used Xbox One X consoles are around £60-70 on Ebay at the moment for some context when paying for a repair.
 
Tried the Sync and Eject thing it clicked no sounds then i pressed the power on and waited 15 seconds screen was blank..
 
It's probably a hardware issue from what you have said. Depending what you have been quoted to have it repaired it might be worth sending it off, if more than £60-70 though it might be worth picking up a good conditioned second hand Xbox One X on Ebay.
