Xbox Video Chat English Patch 0.9.5 Download - English Translation for the Japanese Xbox Video Chat

[Hoffman]

Xbox Video Chat only ever came in Japanese, which makes the setup screens a guessing game. Evanblax has translated the lot: the menus, settings, setup and host screens and the text strings. It started with Google Lens, Google Translate and DeepL, but Evanblax then went through it by hand with the software in front of him, so it reads like English rather than a machine's idea of it.

How to install:

1. Open the root folder of your Xbox Video Chat install.
2. If you want to keep the originals, back up BG_demo.bmp, default.uix, defcam.dds, fun_menu.dds, host_menu.dds, prepare.dds, setting.dds, setup.dds and string_jpn.ini.
3. Copy the Media folder over the top and say yes to replacing.

It's version 0.9.5, so not quite finished. Some Xbox Live system text is still untranslated or abbreviated, and you'll see "Bk" where it means Back. A 1.0 with the text in default.uix rebuilt from scratch is planned. Thanks to Evanblax's testers, among them Harcroft, Luke Usher, Ryzee119 and xbox7887.
