    I've updated my freeboot from 13599 to 13604, then I tried to install "Xbox 360 Dashboard Update 2.0.13604.0 Download with Avatars", but x360 showed an error with code: 3524 - 0000 - 3000 - 0904 - 8007 - 0570. What should I do?

I have tried it for hours without success... I am mentally tired and cannot find what's wrong. I am trying to upgrade from 12611 to 13604. I have a Jasper 16mb and I dumped the nand exactly like told with the tool NandFlasher from a USB drive. All worked fine till then. I did not use an original nand dump that I had before moving to 12611.

I got blocked at the cmd under MSDOS. when i input the command "fbbuild.exe -c jasper -f 13604 -d mydata updflash.bin" I obtain the following error:
"an unhandled exception 0xC0000005 has occured, exiting..."
I tried on 2 computers (windows 7 and vista), same result.

I have tried to add the KV, smconfig and SMC BIN files in the mydata folder, still same result.

I followed step by step, triple checked I input the right keys but nothing helped. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys

Well, I finally managed to create a new NAND for 13604 by tranferring all the 13604 files into the data file (like it was on the previous FbBuild) and I also removed the nanddump.bin file from the mydata folder, leaving only the SMC, KV and smconfig bin (like in the previous tutorial). It wrote the new NAND without any problem when using the old command line that was in the previous tutorial.

However, after this little operation, the console doesn't boot at all. black screen... even the controllers are not recognized. I wonder if I should have not left it to 12611, I fear I have lost the functionality of my JTAG... the worst that could happen.

If anyone went through this before, I really appreciate your help. Thanks a lot

So you went to 9199 with your orig nand using Bestpigs Toolbox, then upgraded from 9199 to 13604 by following this tutorial using the 9199 nad you created.

Could help others in the future as i know going from XBR to Freeboot has always been a pain for some people.

Glad your all sorted now :)

It sounds like you build a bad image which is why the console no longer boots, you can fix it which is the good news, you need to solder a USB nand flasher to the consolee though so you can flash the nand over USB.

Do you mean I need to open the xbox and then play with the hardware? sounds tough. Xell is still starting when pressing the eject button. Nothing can be done from there? (like uploading the previous NAND?)

I'm honestly not sure what that error even means, when you install the update when does that error appear right away or does it get so far then fail?

Also how are you installing the update, by DVD or By USB?

I presume the update unzipped ok and was not corrupted?

Update unzipped clearly ok, without any error messages.

I installing the update by USB, because my freeboot not equipped with a DVD drive.

That error appear when the updating progress is equal to 30%.

PS After deleting DashLaunch 2.22 update installed normally

Only 2.25 or higher will work with 13604, glad you got it sorted.

Read the part of this guide: Obtaining smc_config.bin, a decrypted KV.bin and a a decrypted SMC.bin

    https://digiex.net/guides-reviews/c...60-kernel-dashboard-12611-fbbuild-0-11-a.html

    That will explain how to.

I wrote back my previous NAND dump 12611 through USB via XELL and it is working again. I am staying away from fbbuild from now on, did not work for me.

    Hi

Is it best to dump my current NAND or use the original NAND, the original NAND is the NAND the xbox was delevered with.

It's best to use the nand on your console atm, especially if your Jtag does not use the default wiring. You can use the original nand but you do have more chance of messing it up, especially if you did not Jtag the console your self. I think thats why InsaneNutter recommends dumping your existing nand first. You are at no disadvantage not using the original anyway.

Look at the old tutorial here: https://digiex.net/guides-reviews/c...60-kernel-dashboard-12611-fbbuild-0-11-a.html

Read the part of this which says: Obtaining smc_config.bin, a decrypted KV.bin and a a decrypted SMC.bin

Get the 3 files and put them in the my data folder and your nand should build ok.

My Xbox 360 won't even detect the MS 13604 update. So I can't even restore my avatars. I've installed the $systemupdate folder on the root of my USB drive and turned on my 360 with the USB plugged in. Nothing happens at all. I've even tried mutliple USB sticks and the same problem keeps happening.
