The Emu supports the wired / wireless Xbox 360 controller out the box, not too sure about anything else.

As for your FPS issues the emulator needs around a 3ghz Core2Duo processor to play most games at 50/60 fps. Even that is not enough to perfectly emulate some games.

What are your specs? its likely your processor is not fast enough.

The processor and graphics card are the problem, there both not up to the job sadly.

You really do need a lot of processing power to emulate newer consoles such as the GameCube, Wii and PS2.

My PC running at 3ghz struggles with some Wii / PS2 games.

Would an AMD fx 6 core @ 3.3ghz and a AMD 6670 1gb play games at a decent framerate? At 1920x1080?? Because I am going to hook up my pc to my tv and my monitor also because my tv is 3d does the emulator have a stereo 3d option? Or could I use that 3d software that LG supply with their TVs to make 2d games to 3d??

    Thanks

Your PC should be perfectly fine, i cant see you having any problems to be honest.

I play at 1920x1200 with 8x aa and get 60fps in Mario Kart Double Dash, Smash Bros, Sonic Adventure Battle 2 and Mario Kart Wii.

This is on a Core i5 @ 3.30ghz (quad core) with an ATI Radion 6800 1gb.

Its all about the processor when it comes to emulation, your processor is pretty fast.

Something to keep in mine is the Dolphin Emulator will only make use of 2x cores, so having a 4x or 6x core processor means nothing when it comes to this emulator.

As for 3d no the emulator does not support it, and neither do Gamecube or Wii games anyway, if your TV has some mode to make games look 3d the best thing to do would be to try it and see how good / bad it looks.

The emulator has a Direct X 11 graphics plugin so i imagine it would work with the software you linked to.

As for replacing a real Wii / GameCube it depends on the games you want to play.

10 year old GameCube games, and even new Wii games look fantastic on the emulator in my opinion, a lot better than they do playing on a real Wii. However that been said not all games work perfectly.

Random screenie of Mario Kart DD running at 1920x1200 with 8x AA, looking great for a 9 year old game if you ask me. Put it this way i now play Matio Kart on my PC and not the GameCube ;)

    * HUNTS THROUGH CUPBOARDS FOR GAMECUBE AND WII RELATED ITEMS *

I am going to keep the wii because wii party is loads of fun with the whole family but i am going to sell the gamecube and just play on pc i mean if it runs that well it has to be worth a shot and in 1080p and with a 360 controller it would be amazing. Also looking on the web i think this is possible, can you use HD textures because i think it would be possible but i cant find much on it.

Finally mario kart wii would look beautiful running in this emulator because it has a lot of detail in it the only thing is blurry textures :( but in courses like maple tree thing ( lol i cant remember the name ) when you go through leaves they float up etc

    One final not

TriDef does work but you need killer specs ( 4.5ghz and 6950 ) but i will deffo give it a go when i have built my pc

Thats how i play Wii / Cube Games on the PC anyway, using the 360 controller. You can also hook a real Wii Mote up via Bluetooth, i have yet to do that although its something i will try when i get round to it.

You can tell the emulator to render the game at several times the resolution it would at the Wii, that makes games look pretty awesome. I personally dont think the textures look bad at all. *see screenshots below*

I'm very happy with the emulator, my few favorite games work perfectly and it appears to improve loads each time i try a new version (every half a year or so ;)) (Y)

Sounds good, similar spec to my pc except i went down the intel route.

I have a SSD for Windows and installed apps, it flys! Windows easily loads up, logs on and is ready to use in less than 20 seconds. Best upgrade you could do is getting an SSD. Got all my games and documents on a 6GBPS sata drive too.

If possible try go for a 6800 there a good card at the moment for money spent.
