Xbox 360 Partition 2 Download (Xbox 1 Emulator)

Uh, yeah, I think so. But the hard drive got corrupted. I still have it, I'm going to try to fix it using my dad's work computer.

Joined just to say Thanks!

Great post. Accurate. Helpful. And everything worked perfectly.

I had just bought a drive for my 4GB Slim 360. I did some research but not enough to know that the emulation software came on MS drives and wouldn't be downloaded via update or any other means. Found this post early on, did a bunch of other research and ended up right back here. Code was good (and clean!) as was the image. The only issue I ran into was that Xplorer needed msvcrt71.dll to run. I found that on my machine, put a copy in the folder with the .exe and everything worked quickly (I'm on Windows 8.1 and ran the .exe in XP SP3 emulation mode). After a quick check, Burnout 3 is running beautifully. I'll check some more titles when I get a bit more time but I'm sure they'll be fine as well.

Thanks again !

Hi I just wanted to ask a question about a problem that occurred when trying this. My friend has a 500 gb WD Blue HDD That was formatted and set up to be a 360 HDD. Everything was working perfectly until he realized that he couldn't play xbox originals. Through some googling I ended up at this forum. I downloaded and unzipped the necessary files and connected the HDD to my other friend's gaming pc via sata. When using xplorer 360 extreme 2 it could not recognize the drive, so we eventually gave up without repairing partition 2. Now my friend's xbox won't recognize the HDD. What can I do to fix that without losing his game saves if they aren't already lost?

I should also mention that running mhdd didn't work as that didn't recognize the drive either.

Update:got mhdd to recognize a drive, but I don't know that it was the Xbox drive and not the usb drive I used to boot with. In any case i followed the mhdd directions and instead of failing after the initial NHPA part it just stated done in green. Haven't checked in an Xbox yet, but I'm sure that's not right...

Hi guys. I've managed to fix my partition 2 on my hdd, and Halo is working fine. When I tryto play Star Wars Battlefront II, it asks for an update. The console can't connect to Live. I burnt the default.xex to a cdr but I kept getting a dirty disc error. I tried burning to a DVD-DL but it's not recognised at all. Disc just spins and eventually the only message is "open tray". What am I doing wrong ? the DVD-DL are ARita Ryteks, and all my backups are on the same discs, so I know they work. Is there an iso anywhere that I can simply download ?

Edit: NVM burnt file to cdr using imgbrn and it worked.

Anyone without XBL place this $SystemUpdate\su20076000_00000000 (6.8MB)
on root of cd and boot in Xbox.
Should work,hopefully.
This guide got my 3rd party bought 500GB (£40 inc free postage from Sonnics website) old xbox games working again.

Hi guys, I joined to see if any of you can possibly help me. I bought my 120gb drive from Amazon and it worked fine. I tried to do this and after doing it my Xbox wouldn't see the drive at all. I've formatted it and jumped through loads of hoops and am nowhere closer. Does anyone know what the actual format of these drives are I've tried FATex, exFax, Fat32, I've tried to format it by usb on the Xbox itself but it didn't see it. The drive is powering when it's connected but now I think I need to get the Xbox to see it to recreate the partition 2 so I can then restore the backward compatible one. Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I have no idea where to go from here.

If you format the drive on windows you erase the security sector so the Xbox 360 wont recognise it. If the drive happens to be a Western Digital you should be able to re hack it with Hddhackr: Hack a 250gb, 320gb or 500gb Sata harddrive to work in the Xbox 360 and Xbox 360 Slim - if however it was a genuine Microsoft drive then hddhackr won't work on those drive models so your out of luck sadly.
It's showing as a Fujitsu drive. Was bought supposedly ready but never worked. ‍

Edit: I've found a WD drive I have spare so going to try with that! I'll report back, thank you!

Rick or anybody that can help, I have an Xbox 360 (S model) with a unofficial 250 gb hard drive I ordered on Amazon. I am also using Windows 10 on a laptop if that makes a difference, and I was following this tutorial to restore partition 2 which is present in genuine MS hard drives. Ultimately, I was using Xplorer360 and I believe I merely touched Partition 3 and it basically erased everything on it, when I checked on the 360 Slim. I am wondering If I am practically screwed recovering that or is there something I could do to recover that partition 3 data I had? also, when I found out it also showed reformat hard drive, because without reformatting I would not be able to use it on the 360. I hope something could be done, luckily I still have some saved content on the 4gb flash memory.

UPDATE: I was able to successfully load an Original Xbox game on my xbox 360 slim, so thank you! guys very much. However unfortunately it did cost me my partition 3 data, because I was not being careful and I touched partition 3 on xplorer360.
