Save files are what you really can't replace, and Apollo Save Tool is a handy way to look after them on a PS3. bucanero's homebrew app downloads, backs up, decrypts, resigns and patches game saves, applies cheats on the console, and imports and exports saves to USB.
Download:
Download Apollo Save Tool 2.3.2
You'll need a console running custom firmware or HEN. Install apollo-ps3.pkg from Package Manager, run Apollo from the XMB and pick a save to back up, restore or patch.
If a save is locked to another profile, PS3 Bruteforce Save Data v4.6 is the other tool worth having.
