Okay I have tried various versions of system and this is still showing on screen. I bought Xbox just before Christmas and it must have been in the development mode but I wasn't aware till now. I have tried latest version from Xbox site and I just get to 84 percent and it goes off as it fails to apply. I have tried wipeunf hard drive reformating and repartition with the software. So now I am down to the final thing I can try which is get the os version which it states on screen and hope that works.

Is that all it says as I'm having same issues and line is showing (19041.1999.amd64fre.VB_release_Xbox_dev_2005.200506-0000)
Currently I have exhausted most options but I don't know the most recent osu1 file for xbox one x
Have reformatted and repartitioned and tried with putting OSU on HDD and without.
Running sea tools fix all long and then going to try again.
If I have any luck I'll let you know.

Yeah that's exactly the issue I have been having. I have tried various ways and put in blank and put in with files in tried offline update etc etc etc to the point my wife thinks I am getting obsessed but it is annoying me as I know it's like a computer and I am able to mend them with software issues and yet this one is just being a twat because it needs a certain file and yet you can find all but this one which is annoying. I live in hope that I can find it and get it to work. There has to be a way because I been quoted prices to mend it but to be honest if I can do it myself then I would rather do that now having spent so long buggering about with it

Wish I had a one x working right now I'd join insiders download the update power down rip the HDD upload the system update and be a hero lol

Also by searching the Xbox insiders reddit turns out it was released to all four update rings in may about a month ago

Side note plugged in a Xbox one phat logged into main account and it did a system update, downloaded Xbox insiders made sure that console wasn't enrolled, changed account then I get hit with another sytem update weird right? The broken one is still broken btw
