Forreal, the best way to learn is to take classes, IMO. I started programming classes in highschool (my school offered them) and am now in classes at my university. Some people can teach themselves - I never could.
There are also plenty of books out there to teach you. I'll recommend this one for learning Python, and learning the basics of programming really. Its a great way to start learning - if you know almost nothing about programming. Python is a good language to start with - its as close to standard english as any language I know. Its not hard to pick up. The book starts at telling you how to install Python, and ends with you making an Asteroids clone.
