dash update

my friends son has a modded xbox 360 it is on dash20.146 99 0,a couple of games are asking him to update to play games will this remove the flash,thanks for any help,im just a bit worried if he takes the update that the console goes back to stock as i know he doesn't have the key anymore thanks again

He will be fine to take the update, his console is well past the version that re flashes the drive.

If he is on LT+ 2.0 he might need to upgrade to 3.0, other than that he will be fine.
