Dashboard Error

Hi, Im new here
I know my way around a PC but I'm an xtreme noob when it comes to the xbox
Ok so basically a friend brought a game and it wasn't an original. I popped it in and thats when I got this error: 23ef 351f b800 0401 c000 0022 I can't get onto my dashboard I bought the console in a mall in Asia and I can't exactly ask him to pay for repairs
Can I repair this myself? If so how?
My xbox model is 1439

If there's a solution already on the site, please may I have the link? I just want to know if I can fix this problem.

I think you need to flash your DVD drive back to the original firmware and let the console update. It should work after that.
