Want a DualShock 4 to work in Windows games that only understand Xbox pads? DS4Windows makes the controller show up to games as an Xbox 360 pad, over USB or Bluetooth, and adds remapping, macros, touchpad and gyro mouse, rumble and a lightbar colour you choose. It copes with the PS5 DualSense and several other pads as well. This is schmaldeo's maintained fork of Ryochan7's original DS4Windows.

Download DS4Windows 3.9.9
Tip: if a game sees two controllers, turn on Hide DS4 Controller in the Settings tab. The project lives on GitHub at https://github.com/schmaldeo/DS4Windows. If it's a PS3 pad you're trying to use, the Sixaxis/DS3 driver is the one you want.

- Install the Microsoft .NET 8 Desktop Runtime if Windows doesn't have it already. DS4Windows will tell you if it's missing.
- Run ViGEmBus_1.22.0_x64_x86_arm64.exe from the zip and restart if it asks. That's the virtual Xbox pad driver, and nothing will show up in games without it.
- Extract the DS4Windows_3.9.9_x64 folder (x86 if your Windows is 32-bit) somewhere permanent, not from inside the zip, and run DS4Windows.exe.
- Plug in or pair the DualShock 4, then open the Controllers tab to check it's detected.
