etaHEN is where a jailbroken PS5 gets its homebrew side. You send it to the console through an ELF loader, and it brings a toolbox with settings, cheats and game options. Version 2.5B came out on 25 December 2025, and the build is a single file, etaHEN-2.5B.bin (4.7 MB).

Loading it:
- Jailbreak the PS5 with a method that suits its firmware, then get an ELF loader running on it. ps5-payload-elfldr is the one to use.
- Send etaHEN-2.5B.bin to the loader. On ps5-payload-elfldr that is port 9021, and netcat from a PC does the job.
- Open the etaHEN toolbox on the console and work through its menus.
