No, not the cops but sometimes my PS4 just... freezes up... not responding to anything and yes, resetted it several times. But at the other hand: awesome console, PS4. No wonder everybody wants one...

The PS4 could be over heating, ensure it has good air flow. If not as you have just purchased it the PS4 will be under warranty.

If the issue is happening quite a bit I would definitely swap it out for another one, that one sounds defective.

Happens only in rest mode. So I'd better not use that option.
