I'm looking forward to starcraft 2 at the moment.
Diablo 3 also looks awesome but it will take like 1 or 2 years before we see that one.

I also might get Soul Calibur Legends for the Wii, it sound like a fun game.
I think i'm also getting Fable 2 for Xbox 360 when it comes out.

Wrath of the Lich King also sounds nice but i'm done with WoW after playing it for like 2 years.

Im not sure about assasins creed 2. The first one was amazing at first but then it got very boring unlike any other game. Hopefully they make it better this time.

Sequels quite often improve on the originals, in the development of Assassin's Creed they had to do a lot of work which they won't have to do for the sequel. They can concentrate on improving the engine, and making the game better while the artists put together the models and textures.

It depends on who’s creating the game, EA create a new version of most games in there catalogue every year with few improvements. Companies such as Valve spend years perfecting there games before releasing a new version.
