Hitachi HDD 5K500 B-500 install in XBOX 360

Purchased this slim one a while back and of course now they are coming out with new games that cannot be played without buying a hard drive, she should have kept the regular one.

Anyway, I am trying to install my daughters old laptop hard drive into her XBOX360 and need help. I need to know how to get the XBOX to recognize the hard drive, I am in no means a computer expert, but not computer illiterate either. Just want to know how do I go about making it work? I have removed the hard drive and inserted it, but the XBOX doesn't know what to do with it.

Unfortunately you can't use a Hitachi hard drive in the Xbox 360, if you can get a 500gb Western Digital hard drive you can follow my tutorial on how to hack a 500gb hard drive to be used in the Xbox 360.

The tutorial i linked to only works with Western Digital hard drives, there is no way to hack any other brand of drive.
