I Bought 250gb Hard drive from Deal Extreme
Its not a real Hard Drive. i tried hddhacker but it doesn't support it.
Because HDDhackr only works for WD drives.
Can i do something else to make it work?
 
What make of hard drive is it then?

If it is not one of the supported Western Digital drives then nothing you do to it will make it work in an Xbox 360.

I presume the drive works? if so eBay it and buy the correct drive to hack yourself.
 
Honestly if you bought a fake (off brand/ other brand then stated) and it clearly says that its something else, return it and get a full refund, they'd have no choice but to give you your money back (if they want to be an honest purchasing site).
 
Just an FYI off branded hdd`s can be formatted to work on jtag 360s. HDDhacker and a legit hddss.bin is only required for retail 360 use.

What EXACT sku did you buy from dealextreme. They have different drives, and different drive cases for sale. Some say they`re not completely compatible with all 360`s in their description too. That being said, most hdd`s for 360 you can get from dealextreme are already formatted for 360. But remembering that it`s a bulk, and overstock site, sometimes there are problems with units. I`ve had a handful of returns with them in the past.

Just saying that you have a problem, and you bought a hdd isn`t much information. The more you tell us, the more we can help you. What exact sku did you buy. what kind`ve 360 do you have, what is the exact problem you`re getting?

That's what I said too... If you can, ScarFace, give us all the info, not just the xbox make...
 
Thats a start, now what EXACTLY is the issue? By all the reviews of that unit, it's already formatted and works out of the box. That being said, it also looks like a few people have defective units posted in the Dealextreme forums. (viewable on the item page). If you think yours is defective, it's best to use the dealextreme RMA tool instead of posting on a site not affiliated with Dealextreme.

Give all of the forums on that product a read through, looks like they're selling used/broken hdd's in the 360 hdd shell. So probably best to ask for a refund.

im screwed i got it may 30 and im moving in a week which is the 1st so ima just buy some extra pci cables and use hddhackr
