I was a dumbass and tried to hook my 320gb xbox hard drive up to my computer

Here Is my idea Will it work?
My plan s to learn how to hack a regular sata hard drive to make it 360 compatible, since my hard drive does show up when connected to my pc so Iam thinking hack it to make it compatible to 360 like you would a regular hard drive,. any comments o suggestions for me would be appreciated thank you

As long as the regular hard drive you try to hack is a Western Digital you can follow this guide: Hack a 250gb, 320gb or 500gb Sata harddrive to work in the Xbox 360 and Xbox 360 Slim

As for your existing one if it doesn't even show as unformatted on the Xbox 360 then I don't think you can really do much except use it on a PC.

Well it can't actually be used on the pc I don't think it is the original xbox360s 320 gb hardrive and I'm not sure exactly who manufactured it but it is the one I had been using for a couple years and wanted to put some music on it because I figured out that I couldn't put a flash drive in with music and transfer it within the xbox and I didn't format it but I did something to it(HDD) with drive managers or disk managers when I had it connect to my computer. I'm just trying to change it back to working in my xbox

Put the drive in the Xbox, go to storage in the system settings. If it shows as unformatted you can just format it. If not then ive never really heard of a way to recover the drive. Some people say formatting it as NTFS on Windows works, however a lot don’t.

There has got to be a way I mean how does Microsoft or whoever manufactures the hard drives initially get them programmed or configured to the XBOX.... Right now my poor 360 hard drive is atttacchedtoo my computer wiiththe xbox data cable and it has been formatted so now it is designated as a NTSF drive, but I already have a TB HDD and a 500Gb external I really don't need any more storage space for my PC I doo need it to get back all my games for gold download and my purchased content

Microsoft will get the hard drive manufacturer to do it for them.

Hddhackr is an application that basically manages to do the same thing, however due to the complex nature of the process it will only work with certain drives from Western Digital. Unfortunately this means it won’t work on any official hard drives, as Microsoft do not use Western Digital harddrives.
