Insignia is a free replacement for the original Xbox Live service. It brings online play back to original Xbox games. The Insignia Setup Assistant sets your console up to connect to Insignia and links it to your Insignia account.

Download Insignia Setup Assistant (2025-01-19)
This is Insignia's official 2025-01-19 release, built 19 January 2025. The download contains two files:
For a stock (unmodded) console, Insignia provides a separate stock.zip on their own release page: https://github.com/insignia-live/setup-assistant-release/releases
You also need an account on https://insignia.live. Follow the on-screen steps in the assistant, then sign in from any supported game.
Once you're online, our Xbox Live DLC installers add the downloadable content that was available on the original service.
