Kinect for Windows SDK 1.8 and Runtime Download - Kinect Drivers for Windows

The Kinect for Windows SDK 1.8 is Microsoft's developer kit and driver package for the Kinect sensor on Windows. The Runtime installs the drivers a Kinect-based program needs, and the SDK adds the developer tools and sample code.

This download holds both installers, the SDK (KinectSDK-v1.8-Setup.exe) and the Runtime (KinectRuntime-v1.8-Setup.exe), unchanged from Microsoft's download page.

How to install / use:

1. Run KinectSDK-v1.8-Setup.exe if you want to develop, or KinectRuntime-v1.8-Setup.exe if you only need the drivers.
2. Connect the Kinect sensor (a Kinect for Xbox 360 also needs its power adapter) and wait for the drivers to install.
